Privacy policy

The short version

This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and where visitors come from. It does not sell data, run ads, or track visitors across other websites. No message you type into the contact form or the portfolio chat assistant is ever sent to Google Analytics — only the fact that you submitted the form or started a conversation is recorded, never the content.

What Google Analytics collects

When analytics is active for your visit, Google Analytics (Google LLC) may record:

• Pages viewed and how you arrived (referrer, traffic source and medium, UTM parameters)
• Approximate location at country/city level, derived from your IP address
• Device type, browser and screen size
• Engagement signals: time on page, scroll depth, and whether you return on a later visit
• A small set of named interactions relevant to this site specifically: clicking "Discuss a Project", submitting the contact form, clicking through to email, WhatsApp, Upwork or LinkedIn, and opening or starting a conversation with the portfolio chat assistant

Google Analytics does not receive your name, email address, phone number, or the text of anything you type on this site — see the next section.

What is deliberately never sent

The events above are built to carry only safe, non-identifying context — for example which page and which button, never who clicked it or what they wrote. In particular, this site never sends:

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Contact form message content
• Anything typed into the portfolio chat assistant
• Any other personally identifying information

Cookies and your choice

On your first visit, a small banner asks whether analytics can run. If you decline, Google Analytics stays inactive and no analytics cookies or identifiers are set. If you accept, that choice is remembered in your browser's own local storage so you aren't asked again on later visits. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which will show the banner again.

Third parties

Analytics data is processed by Google, under Google's own terms and privacy policy. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google itself handles this data. This site does not share visitor data with any other third party.
