n8n Automation

n8n automation for the workflows that outgrow simpler tools

n8n is the right tool once a workflow needs real branching logic, custom code steps, or self-hosted control that simpler automation platforms don't give you. I design, build and troubleshoot n8n workflows for exactly that kind of complexity.

Is this the right fit?

Choose n8n specifically when the team is comfortable with a more technical tool, wants to self-host rather than depend on a SaaS platform's uptime and pricing, or needs conditional logic and custom code steps that visual-only builders can't express cleanly.

Problems this solves

  • A workflow needs branching decision logic that a simpler automation tool can't cleanly express
  • The business wants to self-host its automation infrastructure rather than depend on a third-party SaaS platform
  • An existing n8n workflow is breaking and nobody currently maintaining it can diagnose why
  • Connecting a customer support inbox, an order system and an AI model needs custom logic between each step

What I build

  • An n8n workflow that picks up an incoming customer email, pulls the relevant Shopify order, and hands both to an AI agent that decides whether it can answer directly or needs to escalate
  • A set of n8n workflows connecting seven core business tools, including Notion, Gmail, Google Calendar, Shopify and Salesforce, running in production since 2023
  • Diagnosis and repair of an existing n8n workflow's Notion integration bug without a full rebuild
  • Python scrapers feeding into n8n workflows that structure and deliver lead data automatically

How this works

Every engagement starts with how the process actually runs today, then moves through design, build, and testing against real data before handover. See the full five step process for the details.

Frequently asked

Do you self-host n8n or use n8n Cloud?

Either — it depends on the client's own infrastructure preference and who needs to maintain it afterward. I build the workflow logic itself the same way regardless of hosting.

Is n8n harder to maintain than Zapier or Make?

It has a steeper initial learning curve because it's more technical and more powerful, which is exactly the tradeoff — you get real branching logic and custom code steps in exchange. I document every workflow specifically so a non-n8n-expert on your team can still read what it does.

Can you fix an n8n workflow someone else built?

Yes, that's a real, common request — a verified example is a n8n workflow bug resolution project (Notion integration) rated 5.0, where the fix was diagnosed and delivered without touching the rest of the workflow.
